Who is a Volunteer?
A volunteer is someone who works for community or for the benefit of society primarily because they choose to do so.
“Volunteering” is used for a range of activities such as community service, self-help, charity, hospitality, public service, involvement in community actions, being a trustee, helper, and so on. Volunteers contribute their time and effort towards the causes they believe in. They work towards improving a neighborhood, a community, or a country. Voluntary work is unpaid work. You don't have to do it, but you choose to do it.
The beautiful thing about volunteering is that there is no age limit or no educational constraints, and certainly no work experience. All that is required is dedication to a cause, sincerity about the work that one is doing and a sustained effort.
Prerequisites:
- The volunteer should be willing to commit at least two months services.
- The volunteer should be able to bear his on expenses while rendering voluntary services to the organization.
- The volunteer will have to observe the bylaws and service conditions of the organization.
Process:
- The persons who wish to give voluntary services will have to answer a few questions online or express desire of volunteering in writing along with a detailed bio-data and send the same to postal address of the organization or email us: volunteers@bmcglobalindiafoundation.com
- The Human Resources Department of the organization will contact the person and if need be will arranged for a personal interview.
- Once a person is selected for voluntary services mutually assignments will be finalized and if need be a mentor will be assigned to the volunteer.
- The volunteer will be issued a certificate by the organization on completion of voluntary services.

Some of the activities which a volunteer can associate with:
- Event Management
- Fund raising/donor motivation
- Writing proposal and other documents
- Providing training to the staff
- Work with the beneficiaries for capacity development.
- Represent the organization in meetings/conferences/seminars etc.
- Provide quality inputs to improve working system of the organization.
- Conduct surveys/researches.
- Office administrative work.
- Awareness campaigining.
Any many more depending upon the knowledgebase, experience and skill set of the volunteer.
